Container Architecture

What can be created with the ubiquitous shipping container? In Dusseldorf, NRM Forum invited architects, designers and artists from around the world to submit designs for container architecture, with it’s exhibition running now. Standardized, cheap, stackable, available around the world, easy to erect and dismantle, they are an infinitely elastic medium to play with…

Puma City by Lot-ek, designed a retail and event space which, in 2008, followed the Puma 70 ft. racing sail boat around the globe in the Volvo Ocean Race. Travelling by cargo ship, it was assembled and disassembled in a number of international harbours, being transportable, flexible and extremely tough for the year long journey…
