The Kitchen Paintings

"Shelley's Kitchen" collection of paintings were executed predominantly in 2008/9.

Her fascination with the visible yet rarely seen colours in nature continues with bold interpretations of everyday kitchen vegetables. These bright acrylics are sometimes juxtaposed against dark kitchen surfaces, making the contrast even more stark.

This still life collection added to her repertoire in ways that can later be found in her bright, paper collage.

This is a small collection and some of the original paintings are still available. If not, you can own a fabulous reproduction on canvas or a museum quality giclée print.  

(We've tried to make sure the reproductions are approximately the same size as the original, but you will sometimes notice slight differences between the original painting size and the prints, due to production constraints)
