An original, 3D paper maquette using the colour turmeric and mid-century design inspiration. The title comes from the song ‘Detour Ahead’ from the 1961 Bill Evans Trio album of the same name.
The collage was created on a cardboard base, with an acid-free white background and raised paper elements (cut from paint chips), measuring 5.5” X 5.5”. This is mounted on a 9”x9” acid-free illustration board, suitable for framing in the IKEA ‘Hovsta’ frame (item 803-657.55), with the artist’s signature below the collage.
