An original, 3D paper collage using the colour turmeric and mid-century design inspiration. The title comes from the Vernon Duke song ‘Autumn In New York’, as played by the Modern Jazz Quartet on their 1953 album, ‘Django’.
This little maquette was created on a cardboard base, with an acid-free white background and raised paper elements (cut paint chips), all measuring 10.5” x 5.5”. This will be mounted on an acid-free illustration board measuring 12.25 x 16.25”, with the artist’s signature just below the mounted collage.
A suggestion for framing would be the IKEA ‘Hovsta’ frame (item 503-729.60), measuring 12.25”x16.25”, with its adjustable depth to accommodate this 3D collage..
